Shot Bullet from Corinth, Mississippi in Matted Display Case
The siege of Corinth was fought between April 29th - May 30th 1862. This skirmish was known as the First Battle of Corinth. Corinth was extremely important because it was at an intersection of two rail lines. The Union finally defeated the Confederates and took control over the Mississippi River valley. The Union now had its eye on Vicksburg, a Confederate stronghold.
A shot bullet that was found at Corinth. Each bullet comes in a matted display case (3" x 4") stating location where found.
